Detectives have apprehended two suspects, David Thuo Njehia and Kyalo Kilonzo, for fraudulently obtaining money from the public under false pretenses of assisting them in securing job opportunities. The arrests took place along Ngong Road, following their alleged involvement in defrauding unsuspecting individuals of more than Sh880,000.

Exploiting the desperation of job-seeking Kenyans, the pair, impersonating Nairobi Water and Sewerage Company employees, enticed individuals with promises of positions in government agencies and state corporations.

Moments before they could receive an additional Sh100,000 from a trusting jobseeker who had been assured of a coveted permanent and pensionable role at the Nairobi Water and Sewerage Company, detectives swooped in on the two suspects.

Upon thorough interrogation, it was ascertained that the culprits are habitual fraudsters who were sought by detectives stationed at Dandora. They had previously jumped bail for a similar offense.
