Alvin Ochieng, seen in the dock at the Makadara Law Courts (Inset), was charged with assault and making death threats after a video of her allegedly attacking a female security guard, whom she accused of leaking information to her husband went viral. The incident occurred in Nyayo Estate, Embakasi, within Nairobi.

At the Makadara Law Courts, Ms. Alvin Ochieng was accused of unlawfully assaulting and causing actual bodily harm to Ms. Miriam Sifuna, in violation of section 251 of the Penal Code.

In addition, Ms. Ochieng, 34, is charged with violating section 223 (1) of the Criminal Procedure Code by reportedly saying to the complainant, "nitakuua (I will kill you)" without a valid justification. On September 26, 2023, the suspect is charged of committing the crimes.

The accused allegedly said the complainant was having an affair with her spouse during the alleged attack. Ms. Sifuna keeps watch over the suspect's residence. In the video, Ms. Ochieng is shown dragging the security officer to the ground, telling her to take off her uniforms and go inside her home, and allegedly threatening to kill her while onlookers snapped photos and recordings. Ms. Sifuna unlocked the gate for her after she and a family member arrived by car.

A man who attempted to intercede to save Ms. Sifuna was threatened by the suspect.
In front of Principal Magistrate Monica Kivuti of the Makadara Law Courts, Ms. Ochieng contested the accusations and begged for liberal bail and bond conditions.

She informed the court through an attorney that the authorities are aware of her fixed address in the state.
She was released by Ms. Kivuti on a Sh30,000 monetary bond.
Before the hearing on June 26 of next year begins, the matter will be discussed on December 7 of that year.
