Kenyans were left speculating about the intent behind the statement made by the former Gatundu Member of Parliament. Numerous social media users suggested that Kuria could be facing threats, especially in light of his recent determination to eliminate ghost workers within the public service. These speculators contended that influential figures connected to the existing network of ghost workers might be opposing Kuria's proposal to implement a nationwide biometric registration.
Some asserted that Moses Kuria was in jeopardy of being dismissed from the Cabinet, with Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua being implicated in the situation. A portion of social media users hinted at a new conflict between the two leaders based on the statement shared by CS Kuria.
There were also social media reports suggesting that Kuria was feeling the pressure due to his connection with Opposition leader Raila Odinga, who had recently established an amicable relationship with President William Ruto.
On the contrary, some observed that Moses Kuria might be positioning himself as William Ruto's running mate in the upcoming elections. Despite this, online users challenged Kuria to specify the leaders allegedly undermining him and urged him to introspect on whether he might be contributing to his own challenges. Additionally, suggestions were made for Kuria to consider resignation instead of expressing grievances about perceived sabotage.
