The mystery surrounding Jimmy Wanjigi's whereabouts has finally been resolved. For two days, Jimmy Wanjigi was the subject of intense media scrutiny and police interest, with his location remaining unknown until now.

On Thursday, Acting Inspector General of Police Gilbert Masengeli made a public appeal for Wanjigi to surrender at any police station. The police were eager to question him after discovering several suspicious items in his car that were linked to criminal activity.

The items discovered included tear gas canisters, Motorola gadgets, phone chargers, and a mobile phone, which the police suspected were linked to the recent Nane Nane protests that had caused significant unrest.

Despite the police's urgent appeal, Wanjigi remained out of sight, fueling widespread speculation about his whereabouts. Initial reports suggested that he might have gone into hiding to avoid arrest.

The Star reported that Azimio leader Raila Odinga’s visit to Jimmy Wanjigi’s home revealed that Wanjigi had simply been inside a room in the building all along. This revelation came as a surprise, considering that police had raided his residence the previous day without locating him.

In a recent turn of events, the High Court in Nairobi has issued orders granting Wanjigi significant legal protection, barring the police from arresting or detaining him. This ruling effectively eliminates the need for him to remain hidden.

With these court orders in place, Jimmy Wanjigi can now move forward without the immediate threat of arrest, bringing clarity to his situation and resolving the mystery surrounding his whereabouts.
