A section of azimio coalition senators is threatening to impeach senate speaker amason Kingi accusing him of frustrating leadership changes being effected by the party.
On Thursday, the azimio senators caused drama in the Senate during the seating after accusing the Speaker of favouritism and demanding that he communicates the leadership changes. Deputy Speaker Kathuri Murungi threw out Minority Leader Stewart Madzayo and Narok Senator Ledama ole Kina for failing to heed his demands.
Azimio's changes to the minority leadership included removing Fatuma Dullo as Minority Whip and replacing her with Ole Kina, who Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna will deputise.
The minority leader Kilifi Senator Madzayo said that the Speaker was inclined to one side and not looking at the other, adding that he is not supposed to be blind on that chair. They were imploring him not to destroy the Senate.

Fatuma Dullo, on the chopping block, sat quietly on the minority bench, watching as Senators sparred; the Isiolo legislator is being chastised for becoming too close to the majority.
"Mr Speaker, I want to urge you not to be dragged into a political party or coalition intrigues," his Homa Bay counterpart Moses Kajwang said. I urge you to let the majority and minority choose who leads them."
"We're seeing an incompetent Speaker," Ole Kina said, "so this House has no choice but to start the process of removing the Speaker."
Addressing journalists after being kicked out of the Senate, Stewart Madzayo accused the Speaker of being partisan, adding that they are seeing a speaker disorganise the house for the first time. As the standoff is expected to continue next week, the Senators have threatened to publish damaging information about the Speaker.
Kingi was supposed to make the changes on Thursday, but he failed again, causing outrage on the Azimio side.
