Ababu Namwamba, CS, Youth Affairs, Sports, and Arts, has been put under fire by Mumias East MP Peter Salasya.
Salasya asserted in a tweet that the Talanta Hela Committee hired TikToker dancer Azziad Nasenya out of pure favoritism and that the CS was attracted to her.
They recently conducted their inaugural meeting, which was widely reported on, and Azziad was among the appointed creatives.

"Ababu Namwamba what attracted you to this lady to get confused about using government platforms to impress her? Wacha kuangusha luhyas in gvt hii kitu ungefaulu tu bila hizi zote," stated Salasya.
The Mp added that Ababu can't be reached when he calls as an MP for a meaningful engagement, yet he responds quickly to what the lawmaker referred to as nonsense.
Salasya is not the first to believe that Azziad was unfit for the function that was assigned to her. Robert Alai, a county assembly member of Kileleleshwa, also voiced his displeasure with the selection of influencer and radio host Azziad to the committee monitoring the nation's creative sector.
The Kileleleshwa MCA expressed his displeasure with the influencer and radio host's appointment to the important committee where she will manage the nation's creative economy.
Many Twitter users defended Azziad, stating that having young, energetic people at the decision-making table is crucial to provide fresh ideas, expertise, and qualifications.
Why do you think Hon. Salasya posted such a tweet?
