Former vice president Moody Awori has called on politicians from the azimio la Umoja coalition to stop their sideshows and support president William Ruto in his development agenda.

Speaking after a meeting with Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, the former vice president said that politicians should work on uniting kenyans instead of creating divisions.

“Kenya Kwanza won the elections in its manifesto and the manifesto emphasised the needs of the ordinary mwananchi. I am delighted to see that that is the direction it is going because we need unity. Sideshows; we need to leave them,” Moody Awori said.

“Elections are gone, Kenya Kwanza is in place; let it follow its manifesto and let us root together and ensure the constitution is respected and all will be well,” he added

his comments come at a time when the leader of the azimio la Umoja coalition, raila odinga, has declared a nationwide mass action against the kenya kwanza regime over what he terms a failure to lower the cost of living.

Raila Odinga claims that he won the 2022 presidential elections by over 2 million votes against president William ruto but that his votes were stolen in favour of ruto. Odinga has accused the former IEBC chair wafula chebukati of colluding with senior government officials from the kenya kwanza administration to steal the votes.

The former prime minister is a fierce critic of the IEBC and has been calling for commission reforms. He asks that the team should represent both sides of the political divide. Raila odinga has also demanded that the servers used during the elections be opened so that kenyans can see what is inside the servers.

President William Ruto has rubbished the claims by the opposition leader, saying that the servers were opened a long time and kenyans can access them. He went on to say that the constitution will be followed when selecting the successive commissioners for the IEBC
