On March 30, 2023, the Azimio la Umoja - One Kenya alliance leaders made a pit stop in Embakasi South before starting their anti-government demonstrations.

A few minutes after 2:00 pm, the opposition leaders, led by Raila Odinga, spoke to a crowd on the side of the road in Imara Daima in preparation for several events in the Embakasi South and Embakasi East constituencies.

Despite a firm attitude from security officials, Raila insisted that protests calling for economic and electoral reforms will continue in many parts of the nation.

Some of the leaders accompanying Raila are Martha Karua (Narc Kenya), Kalonzo Musyoka (Wiper), George Wajackoyah (Roots party) and Eugine Wamalwa (DAP-K).

After Monday and last week, the third round of anti-government demonstrations took place on Thursday.

While there was not much movement in Nairobi's Central Business District, there was substantially less interaction between the police and protestors on Thursday than during the prior protests.

But, in the middle of the morning, police fired tear gas at protesters in a part of Mathare.
