President William Ruto has made a major announcement following a special meeting called by former President Uhuru Kenyatta at Jubilee Party headquarters in Kileleshwa.

The Kenya Kwanza leaders had alleged that the former president sponsored the Azimio demonstrations, but Raila's team denied the accusations against Uhuru Kenyatta.

In response to these developments, President William Ruto broke his silence and stated that there were no demonstrations witnessed during the Raila-Uhuru handshake.

"I want to tell them they had their handshake government. Did we protest?" President Ruto asked.

After the Jubilee government initiated a handshake with the opposition, William Ruto and his former ally went their separate ways. Ruto has since urged the opposition to wait until the 2027 General Elections, while the opposition leader maintains that his victory was stolen and he intends to claim it.

Ruto has argued that he was voted as the President by Kenyans, while the opposition leader maintains that he was the rightful winner of the election. These conflicting views have created a political divide in Kenya, with both sides holding firm to their positions.

"If they have any concerns, they should wait till 2027, we go to the polls," Ruto added.

Following the recent clash between supporters of Kioni and Kega, the former president has taken action by calling for a special meeting at Jubilee Party headquarters in Kileleshwa. Some Jubilee Party leaders have alleged that the Kenya Kwanza faction plans to take over the party. Meanwhile, the Azimio movement has announced plans to hold anti-government demonstrations in Nairobi on Tuesday.
