Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen and his wife, Gladys Wanjiru, made a stylish appearance at a ceremony where young men were marking their transition into manhood through a pass-out ceremony following circumcision. This event coincided with the couple's celebration of their 14th wedding anniversary. Murkomen, who holds the position of Cabinet Secretary for Roads, Transport, and Public Works, recently conveyed a heartfelt message to his wife on this special occasion.

On Saturday, December 16, the politician's loved ones assembled for a ceremony commemorating his son's circumcision. This celebration, deeply rooted in Kalenjin traditional beliefs, holds significant importance as it marks the symbolic transition into manhood.

Murkomen donned a dark suit paired with a white shirt and a red tie. Enhancing his ensemble, he adorned a black cowboy hat and wielded a walking stick.

His wife elegantly wore a traditional red dress adorned with white accents.

Murkomen revealed that the ceremony was organized to pay tribute to numerous young men, expressing:

“Another milestone. Congratulations to the young men.”

On Tuesday, December 12, Murkomen celebrated his wedding anniversary in style. The politician posted a throwback photo from his wedding.

Murkomen appeared remarkably different, opting for a loose-fitting African-inspired ensemble for the ceremony. He paired a white and maroon shirt with black trousers.

The couple radiated joy during the church wedding, with Wanjiru gracefully holding a bouquet. Kipchumba shared that they had been happily married for more than 14 years.

“Happy anniversary to us. I love you, Gladys Wanjiru Kipchumba, and thank you for everything. Cheers to many more years ahead,” he captioned the image.

“At least your wife wasn't Nelly, who dumped the groom days before the wedding,” reacted one Kenyan.
