American missionary Carrey Joy Wanyonyi, who travelled to Kenya to spread the gospel, fell in love with a Bungoma guy there.

She revealed that she works with the End Time Prophetic Ministries in a recent YouTube video and also discussed how she gave up the comforts of modern life in the US for a simple existence in a hamlet.

She now blends nicely into the Bukusu culture and can even speak the native dialect

CARREY JOY POSES WITH ALBERT WANYONYI

She was raised in California and had degrees in political science, economics, global history, and organizational communications.

Her mother is a philanthropist interested in humanitarian causes, while her father was an engineer. Carey mentions that she inherited her mother's willingness to sacrifice her necessities to assist the underprivileged.

Carey's parents both moved to Kenya to assist in Christian ministry endeavours.

Before leaving her job as a property manager and selling some of her most valuable assets, such as a car and a piano, Carey explains that she had followed in her parent's footsteps. She moved to the nation in 2018, and Bungoma County was one of her initial postings.

Albert Wanyonyi, a boda boda rider and devout Christian who welcomed the entire entourage for a meal, is one of the persons she initially met.

Carey reveals that despite her feelings for Wanyonyi, he shuns her presence. She was perplexed, but after Wanyonyi surprised her with flowers and professed his love for her, the two grew acclimated to one another and eventually started dating.

"About a week after being in Kenya, I met my spouse, and I knew right away that he was my husband. I was intended to marry him, God told me," she claims.

They made their home after getting married in a small Bungoma community. Carey faced many difficulties in her early marriage, including a language barrier and culture shock because her spouse didn't speak English fluently.

She is used to a luxury lifestyle in the United States, but she will now live in a modest, semi-permanent home with an earthen floor that requires cow manure to spread on it.
