A Kenyan man on Facebook has confessed on Facebook that their wife is beating them in their home. His Facebook post reads.
"I'm told wanaume tunapigwa kwa hizi nyumba na tumenyamazia tu, let's talk bana" men are complaining that their wives are mistreating them. One member added that his neighbour enjoys doing household chores despite being tired.
An estimate 2 out of 100 men are victims of domestic violence from their romantic partners or wives. The number could be higher, but most men in these situations do not report domestic abuse against them for fear of being ridiculed.

Central Kenya has been on the spot regarding cases of violence against men. one of the major causes for this is the high rates of alcoholism. Men become addicted to liquor and forget their responsibilities, and women become fed up and end up beating their husbands, hoping this will make them change.
Another primary reason for domestic violence against men is irresponsibility. When men fail to provide financially for their families, they often face emotional and psychological abuse that can drive them to commit suicide. Society expects African men to be providers, so when they fail to do this, they feel like their lives no longer have meaning.
People in the comment section were making fun of his statement. Some men asked how a woman could beat a man. Comments like these make men shy away from seeking help when they face abuse and domestic violence.
Sometimes men don't notice domestic violence against them because they believe domestic violence occurs only in one form, which is physical assault. Violence can be physical, financial, emotional, or even psychological.
