Romelu Lukaku scored his first goal for Roma in Sunday's 7-0 thrashing of Empoli, his new team's first win in Serie A.
Belgium forward Lukaku scored Roma's sixth goal in the 82nd minute, capping off a dominant display in which star Paulo Dybala scored his first goal of the season.
Renato Sanches, Bryan Cristante, and Gianluca Mancini all scored, and a farcical Albert Grassi own goal sealed a blowout over useless, goalless, and bottom-of-the-table Empoli, lifting Roma out of the relegation zone and up to 12th with four points.

Lukaku started alongside Dybala in an offensive designed to help Roma qualify for the Champions League for the first time since 2018.
Lukaku, on loan from Chelsea, came on as a substitute in Roma's pre-international break loss to AC Milan. He had a mostly low-key evening against Empoli, save from his straightforward finish from Andrea Belotti's ball.
Sebastian Walukiewicz handled Rasmus Kristensen's cross after only 35 seconds. Dybala scored his first goal of the season from the penalty spot.
Kristensen came up big again as Sanches doubled the hosts' advantage in the eighth minute, whipping in another cross that the unmarked Portugal international steered home with a brilliant header.
Lukaku played a role in Roma's odd third goal, laying off to Cristante before Bartosz Bereszynski hacked the ball off Empoli teammate Grassi and watched it drift into his own goal.
Dybala's spectacular second came 10 minutes after the interval, when he collected Cristante's pass, feinted Sebastiano Luperto, and rolled in a smooth finish.
