Fresh details have surfaced regarding the Chief Administrative Secretaries (CASs) that President William Ruto is poised to introduce following the enactment of new legislation by parliament. It has been revealed that these CASs will be entitled to an annual salary of Ksh. 10 million each. Additionally, they will receive allowances covering expenses such as vehicles, medical benefits, and pension throughout their tenure in office.

According to a report by Taifa Leo Newspaper, Members of Parliament allied with the Kenya Kwanza Alliance Coalition government have adopted a new law proposing that Chief Administrative Secretaries (CASs) receive an annual salary totaling Ksh.10 million. Additionally, the proposed law includes provisions for significant allowances covering expenses such as vehicles, medical benefits, and pension, all amounting to millions of shillings. This development follows the passage of legislation by parliament aimed at limiting the number of CAS appointments by the president.
