Gachagua emphasized that voters are well-informed and will make their choices when the time comes, urging leaders to focus on their work instead of early political campaigning. He stressed the need for unity, advising against divisive politics, and highlighted the importance of working together for the country’s progress.

The Deputy President also encouraged the public to allow their leaders space to fulfill their responsibilities, reminding everyone that the voters will decide in the next election cycle.

He further encouraged kindness and good deeds, urging leaders to reciprocate the support they have received in the past.

His remarks come amid rising political tensions in the Mt Kenya region. Some leaders distance themselves from Gachagua and back Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki, setting up a potential power struggle over the region's political control.
