Lebanon’s Hezbollah group reported that 20 of its members were killed in explosions involving walkie-talkies on Wednesday, with a source close to the group attributing the blasts to Israel.

According to AFP, Hezbollah sent out individual death notices for each of the fallen members from Wednesday evening to Thursday morning, referring to them as having been killed "on the road to Jerusalem," a phrase commonly used by the group for fighters slain by Israel.

The explosions occurred across various Hezbollah strongholds in Lebanon, with the source, who spoke anonymously due to the sensitive nature of the matter, confirming that rigged electronic devices caused the blasts.

Lebanon’s health ministry reported a second wave of explosions from electronic devices that left 20 dead and over 450 injured.

This came just a day after similar blasts involving pagers used by Hezbollah members killed 12 people, including two children, and wounded approximately 2,800 others in what is being described as an unprecedented attack.

Israel has not commented on the incidents. Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah is scheduled to make his first public speech addressing the attacks on Thursday afternoon.
