Former PSG coach Christopher Galtier has returned to management, taking over at Qatari club Al Duhail three months after quitting the French champions.

Galtier, 57, won the Ligue 1 title with PSG but left after one season due to a terrible second half of the season.

Accusations of racism from his former employment at Nice overshadowed the closing weeks of his reign. He has categorically denied the allegations but will face trial in December.

Philippe Coutinho, a former Liverpool and Barcelona star, will join him in Al Duhail.

Galtier replaces Hernan Crespo, who the club released after winning the league with Al Duhail last season.

Later this month, the Frenchman will face an Al Nassr side led by Cristiano Ronaldo and Sadio Mane in the Asian Champions League group stage. Al Duhail has only one point from two competition matches.
