Soufiane El Bakkali of Morocco and Kelvin Kiptum of Kenya have both been nominated for the title of Men's World Athlete of the Year in 2018.
Out of the 11 nominees, the athletes are the only two male African athletes nominated for the top prize this year.
Due to their outstanding accomplishments, Kiptum and Bakkali are both up for the prize, one of the most prestigious in athletics.
In August, Bakkali, 27, won his second consecutive 3000m steeplechase world championship.
In April, 23-year-old Kiptum won the London Marathon and achieved the second-fastest time ever for the distance.
