Liverpool is still on track to oust Jurgen Klopp as Premier League champions following Chelsea's 4-1 thumping at Anfield on Wednesday.

The 20-year-old right-back Conor Bradley stole the show, scoring and setting goals for Dominik Szoboszlai and Diogo Jota.

Christopher Nkunku closed Chelsea's deficit, but Luis Diaz completed the scoring and an exciting Liverpool display.

Darwin Nunez struck the woodwork four times, including once from the penalty spot in the first half, so the scoreline did deceive the visitors.

"More goals was something we should and could have scored. According to Klopp, you must be exceptional to score five or six goals against Chelsea.

With a win, Klopp's team will again lead the table by five points over Arsenal and Manchester City, who have a game in hand. On Sunday, the Gunners take on Liverpool.

As evidence suggests, Klopp's announcement of his departure at the end of the season may motivate his team to win just their second league title in 34 years, as he had urged.

The injured Mohamed Salah's absence was felt once more as Jota and Nunez continued to pose a threat. Bradley's arrival is preventing Trent Alexander-Arnold from returning to the starting lineup.

Nunez made five attempts in the first eighteen minutes, but Djordje Petrovic and the woodwork kept the Uruguayan at bay twice.

Jota was not so patient when he scored on minute twenty-three, slicing through the Chelsea defense.
