Bunyore Stralets, which started the 2023–24 season lacklusterly, is counting on teamwork to continue its winning streak in the Kenya Women's Premier League (KWPL).

Captain Shirleen Onjote said their team spirit and desire to wow their supporters contributed to their 3-2 victory over Zetech Sparks FC at Mumboha Sports Ground last Sunday.

"The game was very fair in as much as we zealously fought for a victory to be better placed to compete for top four position in the Kenya Women Premier League," Shirleen said.

The Starlets will take this week off after their inspiring victory to prepare for their away game against Nakuru City Queens FC the following weekend.

After playing thirteen games and earning eleven points, Nakuru City Queens are tenth in the relegation zone on the log table.

"If all departments do their work effectively, I can confidently say that we will beat Nakuru Queens.

"The management motivated us after we beat Zetech Sparks; hence, we can scoop three points away in our next fixture," Shirleen stated.

After winning twelve games and scoring fifteen points, Bunyore Starlets are in the driver's seat for this one.

Before the Nakuru City Queens match, which will determine whether the Mumboha-based team will make an impression in the second leg of the Kenya Women Premier League, they are scouting the top four teams starting from the sixth spot.
