CFAO Motors Kenya has invested Kes 30 million in the 2024 World Rally Championship (WRC)Safari Rally, which will be staged in Naivasha during the Easter weekend.

According to CFAO Motors Kenya Managing Director Arvinder Singh Reel, the financial support will be used to plan the four-day event.

This marks the fourth consecutive time that CFAO Motors Kenya has participated in the World Rally Championships, which has seen its Toyota Gazoo Racing Team record major wins in the past editions.

“This year’s WRC Safari Rally offers us an opportunity to consider how to create a better world, a stronger sports system, and a path towards equity and sustainability.

"By entrenching SDGs, we are part of a global initiative that considers how social inclusion, poverty, the environment, education, and other key areas are connected and influence the lives of current and future sports participants,” Arvinder said.

In this regard, CFAO Motors Kenya will showcase its Mild Hybrid Electric Vehicle (MHEV) hilux pickup and the GR Hilux as the official route openers.

Throughout the rally, there will be a display of the RAV 4 Hybrid and the Corolla Cross Hybrid.

Additionally, CFAO Motors Kenya will entrench the Toyota brand's core value proposition of Quality, Durability, and Reliability (QDR).

At the same time, CFAO Motors Kenya has unveiled Ferdinand Omanyala, a two-time African Athletics Champion, as its Brand Ambassador.

According to CFAO, his local and global achievements will be instrumental in showcasing Kenya’s talent and support for young people to harness their potential fully.

As part of its role as a responsible corporate citizen, CFAO Motors Kenya in collaboration with the Toyota Gazoo Racing Team will be launching a nationwide road safety campaign for school-going children.

The exercise will involve distributing 10,000 glowing wristbands to primary schools, which will raise awareness of road safety in communities.
