Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Electoral Board was officially unveiled ahead of the upcoming elections.
FKF CEO Barry Otieno introduced the board on Monday morning at the Villa Rosa Kempinski, signaling the start of the electoral process.
The five-member board includes Chairman Hesbon Owilla, Secretary Marceline Sande, along with Dan Mule, Alfred Nganga, and James Waindi.
They will oversee elections from the branch to the national level, with the new leadership set to serve a four-year term.
The board’s unveiling follows its approval during the FKF Special General Meeting (SGM) held in Nairobi last month, which granted it the mandate to conduct the elections.

Among those vying for the top seat are Extreme Sports CEO Hussein Mohamed, former Kenyan internationals Sammy Owino and Taiwo Atieno, and KPL CEO Jack Oguda.
Incumbent Nick Mwendwa, while rumored to be interested in a third term, has yet to make a public declaration. However, he faces a potential obstacle in the Sports Act, which limits candidates to two terms.
“Our role is not only to deliver a fair and transparent election but also a credible and verifiable one. We will ensure that every voice counts,” Chairman Owila said.
“We will provide a detailed roadmap for the elections in the next three days. It will be on our website; our projection is that we will be done by the elections by mid-December,” he added.
The board will be housed at FKF’s Goal Project offices, and Owilla moved to quell any speculation of interference from the incumbent office.
“We are professionals from different fields, and I do not think that any of us would want to dent our credibility. We are here to deliver a credible election, and that’s exactly what we are going to do. The process will be free, fair, verifiable, and transparent,” he stated.
