After online racial abuse thrown at Son Heung-min after his goal against West Ham on Sunday, Tottenham Hotspur demanded that social media platforms and authorities "take action."
In the second half, South Korea's captain Son came off the bench to score Spurs' second goal, giving them a 2-0 victory in the London derby at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Spurs stated on the team's official Twitter feed on Sunday night: "We have been made aware of the appalling online racist abuse thrown at Son Heung-min during today's game.
We support Sonny and urge authorities and social media firms to take appropriate action.

The Football Association repeated the club's plea for action.
A representative for the FA responded to Tottenham's tweet by saying, "We strongly condemn the racist insults directed against Son Heung-min this evening.
It is inappropriate for our game, and we completely support the government's and social media companies' efforts to combat it.
Twelve guys detained for defaming Son on Twitter in June 2022 received community service sentences and apologized to the Tottenham forward.
After losing to Manchester United 3-1 at home on April 11, 2021, Tottenham club officials complained of "abhorrent racist abuse" on social media.
A statement from Spurs at the time said, "Another match day and more terrible racial abuse faced by one of our players."
It has been reported to the platforms once more, and we will now conduct a thorough investigation with the Premier League to decide the best course of action going ahead.
A Chelsea season ticket supporter was given an indefinite suspension in August 2022 after racially abusing Son after a 2-2 Premier League tie at Stamford Bridge.
Racial abuse cases are now high in football in Europe, including in Spain, where Real Madrid forward Vinicius Junior encounters racial abuse every Reak Madrid match.
Despite the efforts by governments and other bodies to try and combat the manner, it is still a big issue in European football.
