On March 18 in the Tsavo Ballroom, KICC in Nairobi, well-known Tanzanian boxer Karim "Mtu Kazi" Mandonga will square off against famous Kenyan boxer Daniel Wanyonyi.

Mandonga was to compete against the American-based Kenyan boxer Raymond "King Kong" Ochieng, but the former must lose almost 15 kg before the fight, an impossible goal in less than a month.

Reuben Ndolo, the president of the Kenya Professional Boxing Commission (KPBC), revealed that they had scheduled a quick rematch between Mandonga and Wanyonyi.

"Wanyonyi has been working hard in the gym, and now he can show he is a top fighter. Assuming agreements with the promoter and their managers, Rayton "Boom Boom" Okwiri, Fatuma Zarika, and UAE-based Nick "Makaveli" Mwangi are all scheduled to compete. Ndolo said.

In a well-attended match at the KICC last month, Mandonga defeated Wanyonyi; the Kenyan now has a chance to impress his home fans.

On fight night, the Kenya Professional Boxing Commission anticipates that the Tsavo Ball Room will be complete as fans will see some top boxers.
