Ending the French club's ambitions of winning the Champions League. Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting scored a goal against his former team.

After Thomas Mueller fouled Marco Verratti within his Choupo-Moting, who represented PSG in the 2020 Champions League final defeat by Bayern in Lisbon, sidefooted the ball into the goal.

The six-time European winners won 3-0 overall thanks to a goal from substitute Serge Gnabry in the 89th minute.

Bayern made it to the final eight for the 13th time in 15 years, but PSG must wait at least one more season before finally taking home the cherished title.

The audience was "required" by Bayern, according to coach Julian Nagelsmann, to help them overcome PSG's "brutal quality" in the first half.

"We were far superior than our opponents in the second half and deserved to win."

In the opening minutes, Bayern's Matthijs de Ligt made a superb goalline clearance but remained relatively trouble-free as Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi provided little.

It worked, but you must be honest and admit that you need luck in a football game.

"You don't know how the team would respond if that resulted in a 1-0."

Despite mbappe's return to full fitness after being limited to a substitute role in PSG's 1-0 first-leg loss, Analysis emphasized the Qatari-owned French champions' lack of squad depth.

Due to an ankle injury, Neymar will miss the remainder of the season, and they also lost defenders Marquinhos and Nordi Mukiele during this game.

PSG's coach, Christophe Galtier, expressed regret at the team's inability to "make the most of our chances" and the team giving up "a really dumb goal" due to Verratti's mistake.

In the changing room, there is anger and disappointment, he claimed. We must look ahead because we cannot repeat the game.

Vitinha of Paris, who won the ball after Bayern goalkeeper Yann Sommer tried to dribble out of a crowded penalty area, had the most incredible opportunity of a tight first half.

Despite having an empty net in front of him, Vitinha's rolling attempt allowed De Ligt to clear the ball off the line.

De Ligt's desire to defend is "amazing," according to Nagelsmann. In the world, nine out of ten defenders would have given up.

Ten minutes before halftime, Marquinhos, the captain of PSG, suffered a rib injury.

El Chadaille Bitshiabu, a 17-year-old centre-back, was substituted by Mukiele, who had just recovered from an Achilles injury. Galtier made this substitution for the second half.

At the break, Bayern exploded out of the gate, but PSG was given a pass thanks to the clumsy feet of Choupo-Moting, who stumbled before shooting and subsequently blocked a goal-bound attempt from Joshua Kimmich.

The Cameroon attacker appeared to have made amends in the 52nd minute, but Mueller's offside flag disallowed his header from a looping Jamal Musiala cross.

The Bayern stalwart interfered with play even though it looked like he hadn't touched the ball before it went into the goal.

Choupo-Moting caused the dam at PSG to burst in minute 61 as Bayern persisted in pressing.

In the penalty area, Mueller dispossessed the awkward Verratti and sent the ball to Leon Goretzka, who connected for Choupo-Moting to double his team's two-goal lead.

Center back for PSG. Four minutes later, Sergio Ramos had an opportunity to tie the score, but Sommer wonderfully palmed the ball away.

Gnabry eliminated any lingering question about the outcome when he raced onto Joao Cancelo's pass and fired with his left foot into the far corner as Messi and Mbappe had off days.

In extra time, Sadio Mane appeared to have added a third goal for the home team, but the score did not count for offside.
