Kenyans will get an opportunity to watch the live Karim 'Mtu Kazi' Mandonga face-off against Uganda's Kenneth Lukyamuzi in the heavyweight title fight on Saturday on DStv and GOtv.

It will stream via DStv Channel 158 and GOtv Channel 4.

The fight will take place at the Moi International Sports Centre, Gymnasium from 7 pm.

MultiChoice Kenya Head Office, Kenya Professional Boxing Commission (KPBC) acting secretary general Julius Odhiambo confirmed that all the expected boxing athletes from Uganda and Tanzania had arrived for the bout.

Speaking during the highly-charged weigh-in event he said that all is set for the extravaganza that will feature seven bouts.

“We are glad that GOtv and DStv will relay the event live on both DStv GOtv,” he said

On her part, MultiChoice Kenya managing director Nancy Matimu confirmed MultiChoice’s formal entrance into the fast-growing local boxing industry to help profile sports personalities while keeping DStv and GOtv audiences entertained.

“MultiChoice Kenya is committed to enriching lives through content that educates and informs, as well as entertains especially at this time when Kenyans are facing huge economic pressures. Our forte in local content is unmatched and this is the first time we are giving Kenyans a treat on live local boxing while positioning our athletes on-air,” said Matimu.

Lukuyamuzi is geared up for the Nairobi Night Rumble ahead of Mandonga's Saturday return to Nairobi.

The bout against Lukyamuzi will be Mandonga's second Pro Boxing fight in Nairobi after the Tanzanian beat Kenyan Daniel Wanyonyi in the non-title fight in January.
