Mathare United, a former Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKF-PL) winner, has appointed Collins "Korea" Omondi as head coach.
Omondi will keep the role until the season's conclusion, according to a club statement issued on Monday.
The club also named ex-Harambee Stars trainer Stanley Okumbi as its tactical advisor. However, he backed out due to a full plate.
He is the national junior squad's coach, and they are preparing for the Cecafa Under-18 Championships, which will be placed in Nairobi from June 3 to June 17.
Since February 2, when Mathare United parted ways with Boniface Omondi due to poor results, goalkeeping coach Samuel Koko has served as the club's interim coach. Omondi Came to the club and faced an uphill battle to keep the 2008 winners from relegating.
