Beatrice Chebet, the reigning World Cross Country champion, aims for a podium finish in the World Championships, which will be in Budapest, Hungary, from August 19 to 27.
Chebet declared her intentions for the season after winning the 5000 meters at the Kip Keino Classic, with the World Championships being her primary objective.
She went on to say that a podium place in Hungary would cap off a terrific season.

Chebet, who defeated World 10,000m bronze medallist Margaret Kipkemboi and Judith Kiyeng to win the title, has committed to working hard to prepare for the world championship.
