Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund have reached an agreement for the transfer of England midfielder Jude Bellingham, with a reported fee of 103 million euros (£88.5 million).

The talented 19-year-old midfielder, who showcased his skills during the 2018 World Cup, had joined Dortmund in July 2020 after transferring from Birmingham City.

Bellingham has expressed his approval of the move and is expected to undergo a medical examination in the near future.

The Spanish team has agreed to pay 103 million euros, with numerous further potential add-ons, Dortmund has revealed in a statement.

The deal might total 133.9 million euros (£115 million) if certain add-ons are met.

Bellingham, who is expected to become the third-most expensive adolescent in the world, caught the attention of Manchester City and Liverpool, among other teams.

Liverpool withdrew from the Bellingham signing process in April due to the associated costs. Jurgen Klopp, the manager of Liverpool, responded to a question about Bellingham at the time by equating talk of expensive transfers to a "child wanting a Ferrari for Christmas."

Some people made fun of the Championship team for retiring the teenager's shirt number despite him only having played one complete season of professional football when Bellingham left Birmingham for Dortmund for £25 million, becoming the most expensive 17-year-old in football history.

At Dortmund, he flourished, and in October of last year, at the age of 19, he established club history by becoming the club's youngest captain.

This season, Bellingham has made 42 appearances for his team, contributing seven assists and 14 goals.
