Al-Nassr’s Cristiano Ronaldo has been honoured by Guinness World Records for his extraordinary achievement of reaching 200 international caps for Portugal.
Ronaldo made this achievement during Portugal's Euro 2024 Qualifiers match against Iceland on Tuesday, June 20.
As a tribute to his historic accomplishment, Ronaldo was given an official certificate by Guinness World Records, recognising him as a record holder.
Additionally, he received a Portugal shirt adorned with the number "200" printed prominently on the back, symbolising his record-breaking caps, per Sportskeeda.
However, Ronaldo declared that he has no intentions of retiring from international football anytime soon, reaffirming his commitment to continue impacting the international stage.
On his 200th appearance for Portugal, Ronaldo increased his tally, scoring the match-winner as the 2016 European champions strengthened their grip at the summit of Group J, Eurosport reports.
