Mason Mount has just announced his move to manchester united after revealing that he will leave Chelsea this summer.

Since making his senior debut in 2019, the 24-year-old has come through the Chelsea development system and scored 27 goals in 129 Premier League games. Mount has reportedly agreed to a £55 million ($70 million) deal with Manchester United.

"Given the speculation over the last six months, this may not come as a surprise to you, but it doesn't make it any easier for me to tell you that I've made the decision to leave Chelsea," Mount wrote in an Instagram farewell letter to Chelsea fans.

"I believe you deserve more than a written statement, so I wanted to thank you personally for all of your help over the last 18 years."

"I know some of you will be disappointed with my decision, but it is what is best for me at this point in my career."

"I first joined Chelsea when I was six years old, and we've been through a lot together."

Mount led Chelsea to the 2021 Champions League title, putting up Kai Havertz's game-winning goal in the final against Manchester City. In 36 England appearances, he has five goals.

On the other hand, Mount battled with form and fitness in a poor 2022-23 campaign, scoring just three goals in 35 games across all competitions.
