Roque created history by becoming the five-time world champions' youngest debutant ever when he made his national team debut for Brazil at a tender age. Roque is expected to contribute for Barcelona as a center forward, but he can switch to the wing if necessary. The club had high expectations for him, as evidenced by his prolonged contract extension until 2031 and the inclusion of a 500 million euro buyout clause.
Barcelona made an official announcement on Wednesday, revealing that they have successfully secured an agreement with Club Athletico Paranaense to acquire the talented Brazilian forward, Vitor Roque.
The talented player is set to join the Spanish champions starting from the 2024-25 season, signing a contract that will extend until 2031.
While specific financial terms were not disclosed, various media reports indicate that Barcelona secured the transfer for a fee of 40 million euros ($44.07 million), along with 21 million euros in potential add-ons. Roque is seen as a potential successor to Robert Lewandowski, who is approaching his 35th birthday next month.

When he made his national team debut for Brazil in March, he added to his already excellent resume by becoming the youngest player to ever get a cap for the storied five-time world champions. Due to his tremendous achievements at such a young age, he has undeniably established himself as a rising star in the football world.
