Bolt Food has launched a new feature that allows users to order meals in advance.

The feature allows customers to pre-order food and place it for delivery even when restaurants are fully booked, closed, or in high demand.

Bolt Food said the new feature optimizes restaurant orders, boosts revenue, and makes meal preparation efficient.

Bolt Food Country Manager Edgar Kitur noted that the feature allows restaurants to optimize order management and kitchen preparation, couriers to increase their earnings by strategically planning deliveries throughout the day, and customers to enjoy their favorite restaurant meals through Bolt Food, all at their preferred time and location.

“Since we launched, there has been a 20% uptick in orders utilizing this feature,” Kitur said.

The food delivery company has also introduced 24/7 delivery services on weekends amid growing demand

“In response to the increasing demands of customers and the growing need for restaurant deliveries, Bolt Food has also introduced 24/7 delivery services on weekends,” Bolt said.

“Bolt Food has collaborated with over 40 providers on the platform to ensure that Kenyans have access to more delivery options, particularly after midnight. The primary restaurant partners offering these services are Piri Piri Barbecue, Chowpaty, Pizza Hut and Evry.Day Mart.”

Currently, Bolt Food has over 1,500 restaurants on its platform.
