According to the latest report by the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS), milk production in Kenya rose by 5.1 percent in the 11 months to November last year compared to a similar period in 2022.

The data shows that the country produced 730.87 million liters of milk, a growth from 695.08 million.

Production increased when the country received above-average rainfall that boosted pasture and water last year.

”Milk intakes in the formal sector declined from 74.7 million liters in October 2023 to 74.3 million liters in November 2023,” reads part of the report.
