Airport lounge provider Plaza Premium Group has opened a new facility in Terminal 1D of the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA).
The facility is 366 square meters and has 150 seats. It offers travelers a relaxing place, dining areas, charging stations, and workspaces.
The new lounge is the Hong Kong-based Group’s second location in Africa after Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Speaking during the launch, Plaza Premium Group Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) Senior Vice President, Okan Kufeci, noted that the firm’s presence in the MEA region is growing from strength to strength.
“Today’s announcement marks the fourth touchpoint for us in this vibrant region in the past 6 months, and we are honored to be a partner with Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to offer a more comfortable way to await your flight in one of the fast-growing global tourism markets.”
JKIA is one of the busiest airports in Africa and receives an average of 9 million travelers, 40 airlines, and over 200 nationalities each year.
On his part, Kenya Airports Authority acting MD Henry Ogoye said adding Plaza Premium Lounge at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport is a significant milestone for Kenya Airports Authority.
“It reflects our dedication to providing passengers with top-notch amenities and comfort during their journey. This partnership exemplifies our continuous efforts to elevate the standards of airport services in the region.”
