The Airports Council International (ACI World) has recognized Moi International Airport, Mombasa (MIA),  as the Best Airport in Africa for its category.

This marks the third consecutive year it has received the honor.

Moi International Airport’s commitment to customer satisfaction has been consistently recognized, reflecting its efforts to maintain high standards amidst the challenges the aviation industry faces.

The award, part of the ACI Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Survey, acknowledges airports that provide exceptional service and passenger experiences.

“Since its inception in 2006, the ASQ program has solidified its reputation as the leading airport passenger satisfaction benchmark, with participation from more than 400 airports in 109 countries,” Kenya Airports Authority noted.

Further, ACI World Director General Luis Felipe de Oliveira praised the Kenya Airports Authority for their exemplary service.

“Your dedication to excellence in customer experience sets a benchmark for airports worldwide! Keep setting the bar high,"  Oliveira said.

On his part, KAA’s Acting Managing Director, Henry Ogoye, expressed his pride in the airport’s achievement, noting that the award is a testament to the airport’s dedication to enhancing the travel experience for its passengers.

“This accolade reaffirms our commitment to providing exceptional experiences to all our passengers and serves as an inspiration for us to continue elevating our standards, ensuring MIA remains a leader in its category,” Ogoye said.

The ASQ Awards are based on feedback from travelers and emphasize the significant impact airports have on the travel experience.
