Unilever has been certified as a top employer in Kenya by the Top Employers Institute for the seventh time.
The Fast-Moving Consumer Goods Company, toped in the food and beverages manufacturing industry, followed by Nestle Kenya Limited among others.
DHL Express Kenya, Safaricom, Absa Bank, Cytonn, and TransUnion and other firms were listed among the top 100 employers.
Unilever Kenya’s Managing Director, Luck Ochieng said the company’s goal is to create a favorable environment of mutual trust and respect for their employees to enable them to exploit their best potential in the company.

Further, he reiterated that Unilever’s secret to success is the fact that the company consistently aims to empower its employees to be able to make a direct impact on the business.

The top employer in Africa certification is awarded by the Top Employers Institute, which conducts an annual international audit of leading employers worldwide.
The Dutch research firm assesses participating companies in nine key areas: talent strategy, workforce planning, on-boarding, learning, and development, performance management, leadership development, career and succession management, compensation and benefits, and culture.
