A new mobile application platform has been launched by Davis & Shirtliff that allows users to achieve partial savings on the purchase of water and energy equipment.

The app dubbed Daylipa Haba will enable the leading provider of water and energy-related equipment in East Africa to reach a growing number of buyers who cannot make a one-time purchase of goods.

Davis & Shirtliff Kenya MD Edward Davis said that the company has had many customers make enquiries about the products offered at their various selling points but walk without the item just because the price is higher than the amount they had.

“Many of these customers never come back which means they may likely use the amount they had on something else hence loss of business opportunity,” Davis added.

Daylipa, which was created in response to customer feedback, gives users access to all products and prices for goods, giving them an unlimited number of options, the option to reserve prices for six months, and the ability to make partial payments toward the purchase of goods via a mobile app or the website.

The e-commerce platform enables quick mobile money top-ups to unique Daylipa accounts and instant payment and product redemption.

Additionally, customers will have real-time access to account transaction statements and notice all interactions with the business.

The app also enables mid-purchase product changes and refunds for customers who no longer need a particular item.

The platform will also serve several customers who have been making partial payments for products but have not been able to reserve items on credit or enjoy self-service from the company.

“Daylipa is very transformative. Many customers can access D&S products at their convenience, decide how to pay for them and redeem or collect them at their preferred location.
The app will ensure such customers start saving for the product immediately and redeem it once fully paid,” Davis added.

Daylipa is currently available in Kenya and will be rolled out in other East African markets.
