The MD encouraged their staff to drive the uptake of solar products in line with the company's strategy of implementing sustainable energy usage in the market.

Further, he confirmed that the entity has about 143 fully solarized service stations and will continue to implement the same across the country.

The service station at Ruiru is in partnership with Bachul Popatlal Kenya Limited under the Dealer-Owned-Dealer-Operated (DODO) model .

Other services at the station include a store, a service bay, a tire centre, a pharmacy, an eatery and a laundry.

Bachulal Popatlal Kenya, Praful Panchmatia said that the company looks forward to similar partnerships in future as they unveil their first-ever service station under the TotalEnergies franchise.

The company also owns other service stations and LPG distributorships in Kisumu, Bomet, Busia and Chemelil.

TotalEnergies Marketing runs an initiative to improve people's lives without access to the power grid by offering cost-effective lighting solutions.

The company has been involved in the distribution and sales, through the partnership with D-Light, of competitively priced solar lanterns through our vast network of service stations and "Maskanis", which are the containers that have been conveniently located closer to residential areas, for easy access to a range of products like LPG, Lubricants and Solar Lanterns.

The company focuses on developing channels, especially on the 'last mile' to ensure that low-income earners who do not have access to electricity can benefit from this initiative.
