In a statement, the Public service vehicle (PSV) company confirmed acquiring a 100-bus fleet that will be distributed on all its routes.

“Today we officially commenced our services in Kahawa West. Our main aim is to serve our esteemed clients better,” read part of the statement.

Super Metro has grown to be a well-liked PSV for travellers in Nairobi due to its tight adherence to traffic laws and regulations in a sector where disorderliness predominates.

The transportation company switched to eco-friendly cars only in February, unveiling its first electric bus fleet.

The Central Business District (CBD)-Kitengela, CBD-Kikuyu, and CBD-Ngong routes are served by the electric cars of the Sacco.

Sacco purchased electric buses in collaboration with BasiGo, an electronic bus startup that aims to offer eco-friendly transportation options on the African continent.

Super Metro purchased a K6, a 25-seat electric bus with a range of 250 kilometres and a recharge period of less than four hours.
