Africa50 has appointed Papa Demba Diallo as Managing Director, Project Development.
Demba boasts more than 20 years of experience in the infrastructure investment space.
He previously served as CEO of the Senegalese Sovereign Wealth Fund FONSIS, overseeing the ICT, Health, Infrastructure, Transport, and Services Units.
Throughout his tenure at FONSIS, Diallo developed and executed the fund’s long-term growth agenda and investment strategy.
Diallo has boasted a stellar career throughout his career, where he has worked as Executive Vice President at Sonatel (Orange Senegal) and CEO of Sonatel Business Solutions, among other roles.
Diallo noted that he is thrilled to have been appointed to lead the Project Development fund of Africa50.

Diallo holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University Paris-IX Dauphine in France and two Master of Science (MSc) in Telecommunications and Information Systems Engineering and Computer and Communications Networks from Telecom Sud Paris, France.
