The National Treasury Cabinet Secretary(CS) Njuguna Ndugu will deliver the 2023/2024 Budget Statement in Parliament on Thursday, June 8, 2023.
In the meantime, the CS has called upon the Public to submit their contributions and ideas on economic policy and tax measures.
He says the proposals should be shared with the National Treasury by the close of business on Friday next week.
Further, the Treasury says the suggestions should be centred on measures to accelerate economic recovery, lower the cost of living, and any other budget tips.
“Proposals should be centered on how to strengthen implementation of Government priority programmes under the Bottom-up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA) geared towards an economic turnaround and inclusive growth,” said the CS

He is seeking tips on fostering a secure and conducive business environment to promote investment growth, business recovery, and creating jobs.
“Proposals should be centered on how to integrate the youth and women into accelerating sustainable economic recovery and ways to enhance revenue mobilization and prudently manage public resources,” Njuguna says in a statement.
Additionally, Njuguna is proposing to spend a total of Kes3.6 trillion to run President William Ruto’s first-term administration while maintaining a tough balancing act between debt servicing and supporting economic recovery.
