Safarilink is set to suspend flights between Nairobi and Kitale due to an unfavourable business environment.
The Local Carrier noted that the success of the route was derailed by high cost of fuel and below par airport facilities that led to flights being cancelled.
It’s exit from the route comes after resumed flights to the route last year.
Safarilink Chief Executive Officer Alex Avedi stated that the last flight will be on June 8, 2023.
The carrier, which focuses on touristic destinations, was flying the route five-times a week using Dash 8-100/200 aircraft.
