Refilling a 6-kg cylinder has dropped from Kes 1,540 previously to Kes 1,280 now, while a 13-kilogram cooking gas cylinder is now retailing at Kes Kes 2,900 from KesKes3,300.

Further, the K-Gas brand by Rubis, whose 13kg now costs Kes 2,490, is down from Kes 2,780.

Likewise, its 6kg has dropped from Kes 1,260 to Kes1,060.

Value-added tax (VAT) of 8%, import declaration fees of 3.5 %, and the 2 % railway construction charge were postponed by the Finance Bill of 2023, whose implementation was halted by the Court.
