The relaunch coincided with the official launch of the retailer´s Christmas campaign dubbed ¨Krisi Bila Worries.¨
Betty Wamaitha, the retailer´s head of marketing said: "The campaign is driven by the need to accord customers some much-needed reprieve during the festive season that will go a long way in cushioning them from the harsh effects of the prevailing hard economic times."
Customers were offered discounts on specific products and several giveaways during the relaunch.
Quickmart is one of Kenya's retail chain growing so fast and spreading so fast all over the country.
The retail chain is slowly taking over the Kenyan market. They have followed a suit by Naivas by giving away gifts on their relaunch.
Quickmart management have relaunched the supermarket in a very timely season towards the December holidays where a lot of shopping takes place across the nation.
Betty who is a regular shopper at the outlet said, "The discounts have come in handy in such a time when many are grappling with the high cost of consumer products." and especially in the current Kenya's economy where prices of commodities have really hiked.
Many Kenyans will appreciate the initiative by Quickmart to have the offers during the coming Christmas festive period and be able to do their shopping without worrying about the prices.
In addition, the extension of the operating hours will contribute to the 24-hour economy joining the market trends. This will lead to customer satisfaction in that they will have the freedom to shop at their own convenience regardless of time.
This will also lead to employment opportunities fir youths and residents of Nairobi since the supermarket will operate 24hrs and much manpower will be required.
