Skyward Express is set to begin flights between Nairobi and Migori mid september in a bid to expand its networks across the Western Kenya region.

The inaugural flight will depart Nairobi’s Wilson Airport on September 13 for Lichota Airstrip in Migori County.

According to the local carrier, Dash 8 Q-100 will be deployed on the route, with a passenger seating capacity of 37.

Speaking to Capital Business, the local airline stated that it will operate on the route three times a week on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, with airfares starting from as low as Kes 8,600.

Since it provides the quickest and most convenient form of transportation and draws players to new routes, the nation's demand for air travel has been increasing recently.

To keep up with the rising demand, it started daily flights between Nairobi and Kitale in June of this year.

Skyward Express travels to and from Mombasa, Diani, Lamu, Malindi, Lodwar, Eldoret, and Kakamega, among other destinations.
