World Marathon Record Holder Eliud Kipchoge has partnered with Nike to launch a footwear and apparel collection dubbed ‘EK Umoja’ ahead of the Berlin Marathon set for September 24.

According To Nike, EK Umoja consists of eight pieces that sum up the World Champion’s legacy and mindset.

The collection includes five Nike running footwear silhouettes - the Nike Alphafly 2, Nike Vaporfly 3, Nike Zoom Fly 5, Pegasus 40, and Nike Victory track spike.

The apparel line includes the Nike Windrunner jacket, Nike Rise 365 tee, Nike Stride 7-inch short, and a Nike Dri-FIT tee.

The collection is now available at nike.com and selected retailers worldwide.

‘Umoja’ means ‘unity’ in Swahili, and the collection pays tribute to the immense impact the champion has had on the running community.

The marathoner stated that the collection represents work with the running community.

“Umoja stands for Unity in my native Swahili. This collection represents the work done together as a running family and community,” he said.

Every piece in the collection essentially uses a white and red color scheme, evoking Kipchoge's 2003 triumph in the 5,000 meters at the World Championships in Paris.

The constant use of red pays homage to the Nike Kenya Kit that Kipchoge wore when he won his first gold medal and honors his Kenyan ancestry.

Sneakers and apparel bear the recognizable EK insignia and the champion's favorite catchphrase, "No Human is Limited."
