Residents of Ointoptich Village, Lawina sub-location Ndoswa Location in Nakuru were shocked after one of their own was arrested for exhuming the remains of his wife.

According to the area chief, Jonah Komen, he received news of the event from his juniors about an individual digging up a grave.

He notes that upon arrival at the homestead, they found the suspect still disturbing his wife's grave. He says his team stopped him and called police officers, who arrested him and took him to Elburgon Police Station, awaiting arraignment in Molo law courts.

After interviewing the man, Chief Komen revealed that he wished to dig up the wife's remains because the wife's ghosts had constantly troubled him.

Komen claimed that they learned the individual had been visiting a rogue church in neighboring Kericho County and that the preaching he was getting may have led to the exhumation.

"We suspect the rogue church that this Man has been attending in Kericho and the teaching he has been receiving might have inspired him to exhume the remains of the wife" Komen for the Cure.

The Chief added that they are waiting for public health officers to arrive and process the situation to ascertain if he was successful in his mission of exhuming the remains.
