Police officers in Juja have launched an investigation after the naked body of a woman was found dumped in the Gwa-Kairu.
Juja sub-county Police Commander Michael Mwaura verified the event, stating that detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) in Juja had now visited the location.
Mr. Mwaura told Citizen Digital that the deceased had apparent physical injuries and bruises on the face, and the surrounding area indicated a battle.
Muguka leaves, a khat known as 'Jaba' in Kenya, and crushed nuts were also discovered at the scene.
According to the police chief, the dead has yet to be identified, but the body has been transferred to the General Kago funeral home in Thika County for a post-mortem as investigations continue.
