A Kabaranet Court has arraigned a middle-aged man found trafficking 50 rolls of bhang with a street market value of Kes 5000.
According to the charge sheet, Teddy Kibet alias Rasta was found trafficking a narcotic drug, namely Cannabis Sativa on February 10, this year, at around 5.30 pm in Marigat Township, Baringo South Constituency.
The accused, arraigned before Senior Principal Magistrate Purity Koskey on Monday faced a charge of trafficking a narcotic drug contrary to section 4 (a) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Control Act No.4 of 1994.
He denied committing the offence claiming it is not true.
In her ruling, Koskey granted the accused a bond of Kes 50,000 with a surety of similar amount with an alternative cash bail of Kes 15,000.
